Fall charity walk in Boston area for education
On October 25th, enjoy a beautiful walk (4, 8 or 12 miles) thru Cambridge, MA while raising money to educate girls in Afghanistan by participating in Barakat's first annual 'Walk for Literacy'. Go with a friend, form a team, or just make a donation. It takes only $40 a year to educate a girl for one year in Afghanistan! Just $200 in pledges will educate 5 girls. Barakat has 26 home-based literacy programs that serve more than 700 girls and women in Afghanistan. Little River helps support this effort year round by donating a portion of our rug sales to Barakat. Get more information on Barakat or to sign up for the 'Walk for Literacy' here.
