The exact measurements of your rug, including any fringe, will determine the exact cost (see psf pricing for our wash options below), but as a general rule, expect a regular DWD wash for rugs in these sizes to cost:
3x5 or smaller: $55 (minimum charge)
4x6: $70 - 75
5x8: $120
6x9: $160 - 165
8x10: $240
9x12: $325
Dusting, Hand-washing, Detailing (DWD): $3.00 psf, $55 minimum
DWD & Odor Removal*: $3.80 psf, $75 minimum
DWD & Mothproofing: $4.00 psf, $85 minimum
DWD, Odor Removal & Fabric Protection: $4.30 psf, $95 minimum
DWD, Odor Removal & Mothproofing: $4.80 psf, $100 minimum
DWD, Odor Removal, Fabric Protection & Mothproofing: $5.30 psf, $110 minimum
*You may want to consider the Odor Removal treatment if your rug sees a lot of animal traffic - the oil they leave behind if they sleep on the rug can get very smelly- or if there has been animal elimination on the rug - the odor that urine leaves behind usually needs extra attention to be removed. It's also great on rugs that may have been stored in a basement or similar and have gotten musty.
To calculate square footage: measure width in inches and multiply this by the length (including fringe) in inches. Divide this number by 144 to determine total Square Footage. Multiply this by psf cost of desired treatment as shown above.
Example: a 5'2" x 8'4" rug measures 62" x 100".
62 x 100= 6200.
6200 / 144 = 43.055 SF.
A DWD wash will be about $130. (43.055 x $3.00)
A wash with Odor Removal will be about $164. (43.055 x $3.80)
Please note the minimum charge applies to rugs around 18 SF or under.
